The Defence

Joao Cancelo

I thought this was his best game in a City shirt. Marauding down the wing and patrolling the back line. He has the pace to sweep up and was involved in a couple of last ditch tackles and interceptions. Crossing was good too.

Not that much to do as Fulham were shut out by their own petard. He was good and confident in his range of passing and did his stuff well. Looks assured and needs to start even more games.

Nicolas Otamendi

Happy to report this was an error free performance. Unlucky not to have a goal as his headers were a major threat at corners. Recent performances have been much improved.

Angelino

The ongoing left back issues seem to be the one constant in the rule of Pep Guardiola. Here was a chance for our third choice to stake a claim and this was a largely comfortable run out. His crossing was a threat but luckily he had little to do defensively.
