Manchester City turned in a fantastic performance in their 3-1 Carabao Cup win over local rivals United.

Manchester City firmly put their foot into a third consecutive Carabao Cup final with a big 3-1 away win against Manchester United in the first leg of their semi-final tie.

Bernardo Silva opened the affair with a curling effort from distance before Riyad Mahrez and an Andreas Pereira own goal would give the visitors an insurmountable lead. With the second leg coming up in three weeks’ time, the Blues have done plenty to put themselves in a good position, although Marcus Rashford’s second-half strike does throw some doubt into the affair.
