Rodrigo

This was a game of two halves for Rodri and went some way to showing why he is still learning. In first half he played as a defensive midfielder and did well shielding the play, but often received the ball facing the wrong way, and struggled to rotate the play. In the second half he spent time as a central defender in a back 3 and City looked better against Sheffield United as a consequence.

Kevin De Bruyne

Gasping for air during periods but was still the only one to power us forward. We look for his inspiration every time when we toil without reward. His tired legs were still willing to race forward at every opportunity. I fear he may be rested against Everton when we will need him most.

Bernardo Silva

In that David Silva role for much of the match where he worked hard to illustrate how much we will miss David. Bernardo was busy without impact for much of the game. He occupied the space without launching any play. Perhaps he was tired and shackled by the demands placed upon him by Pep in the game.
