Ilkay Gundogan

Disciplined display today in the holding role where I think he looks best. He moved the ball well and protected the back line. Some sublime passing to switch the play through the Leicester press. Took his penalty very well to lift us back into total control and should probably be the first choice penalty taker.

Bernardo Silva

Busy and industrious in a less accustomed defensive midfield role. Was given a roaming role so was the one defensive pivot allowed to move forward. It was this striding which unleashed a lot of our best forward play. Definitely better in the centre than on the wing. Nice to see the real Bernardo back.

Kevin de Bruyne

Busy across the pitch, leading through example as his commitment was on display throughout. That work rate though is actually coupled with fine artistry. Precision of passing added to super human vision. The best midfielder in the world when in this kind of form. Hobbled off at the end, but hopefully it was nothing more than cramp.
