Rodrigo

A mixed performance from Rodri who found he did not have the time on the ball he would have liked. Hurried into misplaced passes and caught out of position by Oxford. His running and physical presence was a useful tool for us to counter their play but he almost lacked some composure at key moments today.

Phil Foden

This game was ideally set up for Foden but he did not really exert any control over it, instead he became a bit part player, toiling in the dark. He seemed to be occupying the wrong space at times on the pitch, crowding out others. Whether this was by design or due to him following the ball was not clear. Looked tired.

Oleks Zinchenko

It was good to see Zinchenko back and it is a sign of how far we have come that we breath a sigh of relief to see him on the left hand side. Unusually today he was deployed initially in his more customary attacking left midfield role, but that role appeared to change within the game as Angelino was adrift up front. Off the pace a little.
