It is unthinkable for Sergio Aguero not to be included here. Our talismanic striker and scorer of crucial goals. I would want to see that Aguero in the first few seasons after he joined, where he seemed to ensure every kick resulted in a goal!

Joining Aguero upfront is a straight shoot out between two players.

Carlos Tevez signalled our intent post takeover and came as a professional marksman who played a significant part in our growth. Memories though are somewhat soured by him going AWOL and leaving us at a critical time.

This means that that the field is clear for Raheem Sterling to grab the last spot in our team of the decade.

Free running alongside Aguero, and supplied by Toure, De Bruyne and Silva and Sterling should have millions of opportunities to add to his scoring in our inimitable side.

As we approach the end of this decade our minds have started to wonder if any of our current squad will feature in our team of the 2020’s? Will Phil Foden and Tommy Doyle claim their spots? Only time will tell.
