Substitutes and Man of The Match

Came on for the last half an hour as his careful reintroduction continues. His running and crossing both look more measured with each game, as though he is beginning to relax more and trust in his body, but realistically this may take in excess of 10 games to really achieve. Until then we just half to relax and enjoy these cameo appearances.

Adrian Bernabe

This was another confident performance and it was a pleasure to see him come on. Did not look out of place, and it will be interesting to see whether he gets further chances in the coming months.

Surprised to see Riyad come on to basically see the game out.

Man of the Match

There were some impressive displays on the pitch in this difficult away match, not least of which from the youngsters who were staking their claim. I feel though that the player who deserved the Man of the Match was in fact Gabriel Jesus, in part due to his selfless and energetic movement which served to create the opportunities for our midfield to move into.

It was pleasing to see a number of players seize their moment and in turn place some pressure upon Guardiola and his next team selection – it also of course, makes it much more difficult for any of us trying to predict the next line up
