Bernardo Silva

Preferred over Mahrez and gave a customary all action performance. Just his shooting which let him down, otherwise this was a great game as he sought to control the ball. There was even a moment where he dribbled his way past 3 Tottenham defenders before being brought down. Hope we get to see a lot more of Bernardo this season.

Sergio Aguero

Started this game in advance of Gabriel Jesus and justified his selection with the second goal from a lovely little flick over the keeper. Gave some willing running in closing down the defenders and came looking for the ball in midfield too. As this was his first game back it was obvious he was tiring and the only surprise was Jesus was introduced relatively lately. The argument with Guardiola as he trundled off was nothing serious but showed his commitment to the cause and our club. That is why he remains a firm fan favourite.

Raheem Sterling

Another impact goal to change the game and cement our domination. This time it was taken with his head and planted firmly in the corner. Make no mistake this was the work of a proper striker as he saw the space to run into before the pass was even made. After the goal his impact appeared to soften and he drifted a little before interlinking well with Zinchenko to get some more chances going.
