Ederson

We have all had to work on our birthdays and I know for one I am always inclined to sulk a bit if I have to and consequently knock out a half assed performance. It would seem Ederson is no exception to this as his passing was great but quite where he planted his feet for the Lamela goal I am unsure.

Player Rating 6

Kyle Walker

Driving, powerful, focussed and doing well to cover his baldness with a new bold buzz cut. The lapses of concentration which have blighted some of his time at City seem to be largely banished but the defending for the Moura goal was comical. I am still puzzled as to who should have been there but the blnak look on Walker’s face suggested guilt.

Player Rating 7

Nicolas Otamendi

The General pinged the ball around like Laporte, seemed to win every challenge and rendered Harry Kane as an innocent bystander throughout the game. Solid and imposing. Welcome back!

Player Rating 7

Aymeric Laporte

Confident and commanding throughout most of the game but there were two moments of uncertainty. Firstly quite how Lamela saw off all challenges and scored and secondly when Moura scored the equaliser.

Player Rating 6

Oleksandr Zinchenko

Linked up well with the attacks and spent a lot of the first half coming inside to bolster the midfield. Had a couple of nervy moments as his high line was exposed and Spurs players ran into the gap behind.
