And so we have it. What was originally just speculation is now fact. The new kit which will be worn by Manchester City next season has been leaked onto the internet.

Manchester City’s 2019/20 kit design is something of a closely regarded secret. Having changed the kit and training gear providers for the coming season there has been mounting speculation about what the new kit will be like.

City are just entering the final few weeks of their existing kit deal with Nike. Many fans have not been happy with the design of kits by Nike, believing that our unique and historic club should have a first team Jersey which respects and honours those traditions, whilst also reinforcing our uniqueness.

It has therefore been a source of frustration that Nike appear to have fulfilled their contract largely by turning out formulaic jerseys on pre planned template designs.

The chance for the new kit deal under Puma to right some of these wrongs has created unprecedented levels of interest by City fans in the new manufacturers designs.

Indeed, this level of interest has generated a while industry of fake kits which have been leaked steadily on line for months, seemingly preparing us fans to expect the worst.

Yet so far this has not been the case. In fact the opposite could not be more true. The new season kit deal starts in July 2019 and will see a new shirt design with a clear accent on purple. There is purple writing on the shirt, for sponsors and 125 years badge and also purple detailing to the sleeves.

This is not a traditional City colour so has caused some debate amongst fans, yet the overwhelming response has been positive. In fact the clear design looks as though it may become a modern classic, with it’s simple lines and elegance.

There have also been some other kit leaks. This coming season mark’s our125th as a professional football club and no one will be surprised to know a celebration shirt is being released. Now  whether this is fan only or will actually be worn by players is unclear at this time.

Finally as part of this range, Puma have released a new run out jacket, which I thinks looks beautiful and will be a must buy accessory for the year ahead. This is clearly echoing the beloved Mercer jacket from the FA Cup Final.

Next. . dark

So, in the basis of these offerings, there would appear to be much to look forward to with Puma. Of course this may change when they release the away kit!
