The Substitutes and Man of the Match
Gabriel Jesus
Whenever we tend to review the contribution of Jesus we tend to use the the word “industrious”. He scampers about to close down the space and links up well with the runners around him. I would be happier if I had more goals to write about though as it feels as though so much of the promise around when he struck that Centurions goal against Southampton last season has evaporated. Needs to find his mojo again.

John Stones
A gentle turn out for our great forgotten defender. For the second year running his campaign has been reduced by injury . He starts the season like Bobby Moore and finishes like Bobby Davro! Just doing impressions. Hope to see him again at the Etihad against Leicester as we will need his passing to quicken the pace.

Nicolas Otamendi
Not enough time to mark.
Man City Square Man of the Match
Not really too many singular performances of note. Instead this was a gritty display of team spirit and determination to carry us over the line. Our award goes to Bernardo Silva who helped so much with his tireless running and scurrying around to ensure Burnley never got a grip on the game. He got another assist too in what has been an excellent season!
