Leroy Sane

Leroy ran into cul de sacs and gesticulated wildly if a pass was misplaced. He did not tackle back or track back properly to close off space and instead just demonstrated why he has not been picked in many recent games.Frustrating to see given his ability but on the strength of this performance I would not expect to see him start again this season.

Player Rating 5

Raheem Sterling

Nothing came off for Raheem today. The space was double marked and usually when this happens others move inside and exploit the gaps. This did not happen today and instead Raheem was curiously isolated. Needs to get back amongst the goals but for this to happen he needs to be released at pace again and this requires some midfield vision.

Sergio Aguero

Our wily old Striker scored the winner again to take his tally to over 20 goals in 5 Premier League seasons equalling the record set by Thierry Henry. Could have had another goal if he had the run of the green but had to settle for just one. Bullied and chased throughout the game and the look on his face when he scored was matched by millions of City fans across the globe.
