Manchester United 0 Manchester City 2 Player Ratings and Man of the Match
By David Crook
However this fantastic season ends we have done the double over Manchester United and that is something all of the fans will remember.
Pep Guardiola has now won at Old Trafford on each of his three visits with Manchester City. Make no mistake though this was the pick of the bunch for this win was all about character. City found themselves facing a United side who were hurting after being thrashed by Everton but powered past them with a controlled display.
We look at the Manchester City individual player ratings and try to identify a Man of the Match!
The Defence
Ederson
There were some big moments here for Ederson and he lived up to every one of them. Looked commanding in the goal and refused to be beaten. He was out quickly to sweep up attacks and break up attacking play. He dealt with everything, looking customarily calm and focussed. No throw ins today but some great play from the back too.

Kyle Walker
At times United threatened to unlock the gaps between Kompany and Walker but despite their probing, it came to nothing. Walker burst forward on a number of occasions and looked dangerous going forward. Some good defending too on display as he read the game well and kept up his concentration levels. There would be no opportunity for him to bait the ball boys again today.

Vincent Kompany
Good to see our Captain back on the pitch but he did look prone to being exposed by the pace of Rashford. Read the game well and dealt with the second balls pretty well. Was guilty of being sloppy in possession a couple of times. Looked for some of the first half like a red card waiting to happen. Deserves some credit for staying on the pitch!

Aymeric Laporte
A lot of headers and some quick passing but otherwise had a quiet game. Controlled the ball well when he had chance. Benefited from a bit of haphazard pressing by United which tended to allow him more time on the ball than usual.

Oleks Zinchenko
Unlucky to be carded for what looked like a dive by Ashley Young. Another solid game at the back for us as he read the game well and looks more and more comfortable at the back. Always ready to receive and make a pass and tried hard to create chances by linking with the attack. Came inside sometimes and turned up in the opposition box several times.
