Gabriel Jesus

Brightened up our attack and made a nuisance of himself. Had one chance which he probably snapped at but suffered from the same problem Sergio did which was a lack of quality supply.

Player Rating 6

Kevin De Bruyne and Leroy Sane

These were the two players everyone wanted to see introduced when we were having to chase the game but Pep kept them on the bench until the 89th minute. They had so little time on the pitch it was difficult to assess their performances although both players looked dangerous.

Man of the Match

This match was another where the performance and intensity level dropped. We set up to thwart any attacks but this almost simply invited Spurs to come onto us. Consequently our lack of creativity in midfield probably contributed to our not deserving to win the game. Looking for a Man of the match was difficult in these circumstances but I am going to go for Ederson. Although he conceded he did keep us in the game and gave a good show of keeping duties. He came for and claimed every cross and made one great save. The goal we conceded was the failure of our defence to see off the threat – both Delph and Gundogan were at fault.
