It’s shaping up to be a thrilling finish to the Premier League season!

With six games remaining, Manchester City (80 points) lead Liverpool (79 points) by just a point. The margins couldn’t be tighter.

Unlike the thrilling 2011-12 season, which most closely mirrors the race we are seeing now, City and Liverpool have remained gridlocked over several games. Only Liverpool were briefly able to build a cushion before a run of disappointing results in January and February saw their nine point lead evaporate. It feels as if the team who blinks first will be the one to lose the title.

When taking a deeper look into their stats and performances, however, it becomes clear that the sides aren’t as close as the table suggests. In fact, there’s one team who stands above the rest and is deserving of the title: Manchester City.

Let’s dive in and see how the teams differ.
