How Mad March May Make or Break Manchester City
By David Crook
Manchester City are entering the stage of the season where they will either cement their progress in three competitions or see their season begin to slip away.
By the time Manchester City enter the month of March they may already have won their first piece of silverware in the Carabao Cup at Wembley on 24 February 2019. Playing such an early trophy game can really help drive on the team momentum to spur them onwards through a packed March. Conversely a loss at Wembley in a Cup Final can also undermine team form and make March even more tricky.
Sat 2 March Bournemouth Away (PL)
City start March with a game away at a Bournemouth side who have veered between struggling and beating Chelsea 4:0. City will need to be at their best to come away with a result on the small and tight pitch.

Sat 9 March Watford Home (PL)
City follow up their jaunt on the South coast with a teatime kick off against Watford. Garcia have exceeded expectations so far this season and they will fancy their chances against us.
Tue 12 March Schalke Home (CL)
The second leg of this UEFA Champions League tie will hopefully be an opportunity to provide some valuable experience for our fringe players as the game will have been assured in the first leg.
If we beat Schalke then we will be in next Champions League Draw which will be made on Friday 15 March at UEFA headquarters in Nyon, although the quarter finals are not due to take place until 9/10 and 16/17 of April.
Sat 16 March Swansea Away (FAC)
The FA Cup Quarter Final is another trip away to Wales for City after the victory against Newport County. Coming just a few days after the Schalke game and just before the two week International Football break.
Sat 30 March Fulham Away (PL)
The month ends with a Premier League game away at Fulham who are deep in relegation mire and playing hard for every point. Again this is a match where City will need to be on top form to bring back all 3 points.
There is also a small matter of the derby game away at Old Trafford which has had to be postponed because both teams are involved in the FA Cup. There is a possibility this match could be squeezed into the calendar by the football authorities during March.
