Manchester City signed Raheem Sterling from Liverpool back in 2015 for the sum of £50 million and earlier this season the player extended his contract at City until Summer 2023.

At Liverpool Raheem had begun to excel. He played 129 times, scored 23 goals and assisted 25 times. But the player was keen to move to a club where he felt he could win trophies. Signing for City put him into a team during a period of transition but nevertheless he made an impact. A return of 11 goals and 10 assists from 47 games in his first season in 2015/16 was a pretty decent start to his career as a blue.

It was after the arrival of Pep Guardiola as manager and the change in the playing system which has seen Sterling quickly develop. He appears to have seized the chances available to him and continued to work hard on his natural talents to add some improved goal scoring techniques. Prior to every match during the warm up you can see one of the Manchester City coaches, Mikel Arteta, working with Raheem where he is placed under pressure every time he shapes up to shoot at goal. It is this kind of practice and dedication by Raheem which has allowed him to hone his skills.
