Man City Square review the Manchester City player performances in the victory away at Burton Albion

Aro Muric

Continued his role as Ederson lite in this game and even nonchalantly nearly conceded a goal by mis controlling the ball. Crucially just like Ederson he was unruffled by this, Made one good save.

Player Rating 7

Danilo

Another solid performance from our currently most reliable full back. Did not pose much threat in attack though but seemed to be keeping energy in reserve.

Player Rating 6

Eric Garcia

Excellent performance from a defender who seemed to move the ball well at all times and seems to be capable of reading the game very well.Would like to see him in a defensive midfield role as he seems to have the ability to manage an increased amount of possession.

Player Rating 8

Phillippe Sandler

Looked like a natural addition to our squad. Cultured and controlled. Looks like a very good player in the making.

Player Rating 8

Oleks Zinchenko

A quiet performance from Oleks who did manage to be caught out of position once. Spent a few minutes in a preferred midfield role but made limited impact.

Player Rating 6

Kevin De Bruyne

Another slow start, one great pass but too many others were easily intercepted. Kept running but not at the right pace to undertake the role against a better side. Needs more minutes to continue his fine tuning.

Player Rating 6

Phil Foden

A busy but largely ineffective performance. Came through unscathed which may be the best thing to say.

Player Rating 6

Fabian Delph

A couple of careless errors which put colleagues under pressure.

Player Rating 6

Ian Poveda

Industrious and played the full 90.

Player Rating 6

Sergio Aguero

Subdued performance. Took his goal well but missed a sitter too.

Player Rating 6

Riyad Mahrez

Did not work hard enough without the ball or create enough to displace Sane or Sterling as first choice wingers.

Player Rating 6

Substitutes

Gabriel Jesus

Busy but did not pose a threat.

Player Rating 6

Benjamin Mendy

Rusty but good to see him on the way back.

Player Rating 6

Felix Nmecha

Interesting cameo appearance marked by one good bursting run. Looks a promising prospect.
