Man City Square reviews the Manchester City player performances against Wolves and selects a Man of the Match
Ederson
This was a wonderful chance to see Bored Ederson in action. Rushing out to thwart an attack he stayed upfield, nonchalantly exchanging passes with Fernandinho in Midfield. My goalkeeper continues to change the ways we think about goalkeeping.
Player Rating 9
Kyle Walker
Looking more solid and concentrated in games since his return. Adds pace and power forwards and backwards. Needs to continue to impress to make the slot his again.
Player Rating 8
John Stones
Did nothing wrong in the game and plenty right. We have reached the point where we look solid with him at the back. How right Pep has been to offer him guidance and support. A classy defender.
Player Rating 8
Aymeric Laporte
The other lynchpin in our defence has always been able to pass the ball. Today he found a different kind of pass from his usual cross field ball which switches the play. Today he threaded a ball for Sane to run onto and create the first goal.

Danilo
Another solid performance from a player who I think just needs game time. I think he has earned an extended run in the first team. But he needs to practice his shooting.
Player Rating 8
Fernandinho
Our pivot played well again. The booking slowed him down and made him more cautious which restricted hi simpact later in the game.
Player Rating 7
Bernardo Silva
Cementing his place in our side with every tireless display of running. Was lucky to escape the Boly challenge unscathed.
Player Rating 8
David Silva
Two misplaced passes. Less impact than in some games. Important to notch his 267th appearance in the Premier League but I would rest Silva and allow De Bruyne to fill his role.
Player Rating 7
Leroy Sane
Dangerous throughout the match. He stretched the play and created panic whenever he ran with the ball at the defence. Great movement and pass for the first goal.
Player Rating 9
Gabriel Jesus
Another two goal sto add to his collection this week. Looking sharper and more committed with every minute on the pitch. Will create a selection headache for Guardiola at the weekend.
Player Rating 9
Raheem Sterling
Upended in a dangerous position for the penalty.

Man City Square Man of the Match
With two goals when it counted Gabriel Jesus was our man of the match.
