Last time we played Wolves we suffered an injustice and hopefully Manchester City can rectify that on Monday.

Manchester City were held to a 1:1 draw away to Wolves earlier in the season and already the interpretation of that result by pundits is that City failed. Of course the reality of that result was somewhat different.

City peppered the Wolves goal after taking the lead and the draw was only achieved when Boly pushed the ball into the net with his hands. It was a bit of cheating and a referee mistake. But sadly we are used to both.

This return game is already feeling different. There is a  wrong which needs righting. We have many of our big players not only fit but returning to peak performance.

More from Game preview

Wolves have had a decent run of games and results and are pretty much exactly where we predicted they would be at this stage. But City have scored 16 goals in 2 games and seem to have put our dip in form behind us.

Ahead seems a relentless march as we do our best to win every single remaining match and try and achieve our best ever season. Wolves will give us some time and space to play and we will need to be error free to really monopolize the opportunity.

There are some difficult decisions for Guardiola. In midfield does he reward Gundogan for his recent performances? Has De Bruyne impressed enough to earn a starting berth? Which of the Silvas will get to start?

In defence is this a game for our preferred centre back pairing of Stones and Laporte? Which of our array of full backs will get to start? Walker or Danilo? Zinchenko or Delph?

Up front may be the trickiest decision of all. Jesus has 5 goals in 2 games but Aguero is fit. Which striker will start against Wolves?

Whichever players are selected will know there is a quality replacement breathing down their neck and hopefully that will keep us mistake free, focussed and intense.

City will not take Wolves lightly but will be ready and if we still have title aspirations then this is simply a must win fixture, just to reduce the lead at the top to 4 points.
