By David Crook
Man City Square reviews the Manchester City Player Performances against Leicester and selects a Man of the Match.
Aro Muric
Like Ederson Lite, Muric filled in and did not look out of place. Comfortable with his feet and hands in distribution, could not help the goal but made the saves when it mattered in the penalty shoot out.

Kyle Walker
Looks tired. When asked to scamper down the wing he had the look I have when my alarm for works goes off at 6.00 am.
Player Rating 6
Nicolas Otamendi
Not operating at full speed and had little threat to sniff out.

Eric Garcia
Solid performance for what looks like an interesting player. Read the game well and anticipated and blocked striker movement.
Player Rating 7
Oleks Zinchenko
We all know he is not a left back and he proved it again today by being caught out of position for the Leicester goal. Sometimes exuberance alone is not enough. Scored the winning penalty.
Player Rating 6
John Stones
Not Fernandinho.
Player Rating 6
Phil Foden
Comfortable and controlled. Was unlucky to be booked and he looked sad about it. It was like kicking a puppy.
Player Rating 7
Kevin De Bruyne
There were flashes of him at his best but he needs some fine tuning to get back. This will take game time. Great classy goal but visibly tired.
Player Rating 8
Riyad Mahrez
Frustrated all evening at half speed. Continually turned inside on his left. Easily marked. Disappointing.
Player Rating 6
Sergio Aguero
I have a theory it always takes Sergio 3 games to get back to his best. This is 1 game down. He was industrious but half a yard off the pace.
Player Rating 6
Brahim Diaz
Busy but not impacting the game. Needs game time now to develop.

Substitutes
Raheem Sterling
Ineffective when he came on. Tried a clever penalty but missed.
Player Rating 6
Ilkay Gundogan
Ineffective at the point we needed him to come on and manage the game.
Player Rating 6
Gabriel Jesus
Looking better and sharper with each game. Should start on Saturday.

Man City Square Man of the Match
A solid Ederson like performance from the man mountain of Muric. Made the saves which took us through. I don’t think we need to be looking for another goal keeper!
