Manchester City Powered Past The Hammers
ManCitySquare run the eye over the performances of the Manchester City players in the match and decide who is the Man of the match.
Ederson
This was a match where the coolness of Ederson was on display and he had several attacks to foil. Consequently he was not bored and so did not cross the half way line or give away a needless penalty.

Kyle Walker
A relatively quiet game for Kyle, although there was one moment when he prevented a goal. Last season that would have been an own goal!
Player Rating 7
Nicolas Otamendi
Good to see the general back in his position and considering the time he has spent out, he stepped straight back as though he had not been away. The physical presence he provides was necessary to combat Arnautovic.

Aymeric Laporte
Another confident and comprehensive display which saw his usual combination of solid passing and good covewring. He was called into play more as a result of some positional rustiness by Delph.

Fabian Delph
I prefer the solidity of our defence with Delph than the ambition presented with Mendy, although today Delph was caught out of position on a couple of occasions.
Player Rating 7
Fernandinho
This was one of those games where Fernandinho did not have so much to do. In the second half, West Ham pressed him and as a result there were some misplaced passes but nevertheless this was an assured display.
Player Rating 8
Ilkay Gundogan
Good to see Gundogan back on the pitch after his most recent injury lay off. This was a mopre traditional no 8 display and he excelled at times in linking play. Never really found himself in the box.
Player Rating 7
David Silva
There were moments during the first 30 minutes where this felt like the David Silva show and that everything he touched would turn to gold.
Player Rating 8
Leroy Sane
This was a game to terrorise a defence and Leroy accepted his challenge with aplomb. Such balance and grace at speed is rare. Two goals and an assist.
Player Rating 9
Raheem Sterling
Blistering at pace in the first half and then more subdued. The West Ham left back looked like he had never set foot on a pitch before.
Player Rating 9
Sergio Aguero
Always offering space and options to the team. Running in the channels and taking beleagured defenders with him.
