Manchester City fan @crookdpc  debates the Manchester derby with @ollieslack from Red Devil Armada

Part 2 of this discussion sees ManCitySquare pose some questions to the Manchester United fans about their team’s derby performance and their hopes for the future.

ManCitySquare – Are you happy with Mourinho? Will he keep the team and fans happy?

Red Devil Armada – No I don’t think he’s the man to take the club forward. There’s no long term planning. But he was backed last January with a contract extension so if the hierarchy believe he’s the man for the job he should see out his contract. Keeping fans happy will rely purely on results, but it’s a dangerous game trying to win playing so defensively. If you slip up fans will jump on you not only for a poor result but for a poor performance.

More from Game Review

ManCitySquare – How big do you think the gulls between the two teams?

Red Devil Armada – As big as I’ve ever known it. Not because we have gotten so bad but because of how relentless and polished City are. We weren’t much better under LVG or Moyes but City are now different gravy.

ManCitySquare – Will Sanchez and Fred become the players you thought they were?

Red Devil Armada – Sánchez is a worry, but seems to be picking up a bit with performances in the last few weeks. He now needs the stats to go with it. I feel for Fred because of the mess the club is in, people are quick to criticise his performances but he should be given a year to settle like any other signing would. People aren’t talking about Keita or Fabinho anymore!

ManCitySquare – What are your predictions for United at end of season?

Red Devil Armada – The season will peter out and we’ll be the lowest in the table of the big 6. May have a cup run of some sort in a bid to get European football but Mourinho will get sacked for missing out.

ManCitySquare – In the derby game did any United player make you proud?

Red Devil Armada – Ashley Young did well and showed the fight to play in such a big game. Marcus Rashford as well I thought he held his own really well considering he had no support. Held the ball up and drew fouls when defence was under immense pressure.

So our hostilities with Manchester United have concluded until next year, and neither side can be sure exactly what the future has in store. Catch up with the first part of this discussion by following the link below.
