2. Ederson is Bored

Ederson is being called into action as a traditional goal keeper less this season because our defence has seemed much more solid. Consequently he has clearly begun to get bored during a game. Initially he seems able to contain this boredom by indulging in some death defying passing across his own goal line. Not satisfied with doing this once, he now repeats the move several times in a game – sometimes in quick succession leaving the attackers in a spin. Ederson’s next trick is to casually pass the ball a hundred yards, seeking out Sergio Aguero. In an attempt to defeat boredom setting in, I swear he has now started to make this pass – whilst looking the other way!

Ederson has always decided to have a roam. Remember how far out of his area he was when he was assaulted by Sadio Mane last season? This season though – his roaming is reaching new heights. He wanders into the opposition half in the ultimate slam dunk to the opposition. And now, against Shaktar he wandered into the opposition midfielders to make a tackle – without any threat to his goal. This was Ederson, not just heading the ball away to prevent an attack, but this was Ederson deciding to just play in midfield.
