1. Kevin De Bruyne is Back

Ooooh Kevin De Bruyne. Oooooh Kevin De Bruyne rings out again from the Manchester City fans who are wedged tightly into the upper corner of the ground used by Shaktar Donetsk in Kharkiv. This chant to the 7 note tune of Seven Nation Army by The White Stripes is now easily recognisable worldwide and will probably accompany Kevin even as he shops in Asda, years after the end of his football career.

This is his first start after his return from injury, following a short cameo appearance against Burnley. Its clear from what we have seen so far his unique talents have not been dimmed by his period of recuperation. If anything he may well have benefited from some time away from the game and an enforced period of rest.

What he does need though is a few games just to get back up to his previous levels of physical fitness. That is just fine tuning a performance machine though. So in his first full game back, he gained an assist from a perfect cross. Kevin is back.
