If City manage to take 18 points from these 24 on offer then I believe they will end these games still on the top of the table. Given the return of our talisman and my belief they will soon start to put together a run of consistent good play, I consider its possible City will emulate or improve the points total in their first 8 games. 7 victories and a loss would allow City to open up a small lead at the top of the table, 6 victories and 2 losses may see us top on goal difference. Any side who breaks away at this stage of the season is likely to remain in contention throughout the season. There are some potential hard games in this group of fixtures – Spurs and Chelsea away and United at home. But simply put these games must be won.
