Currently these two teams sit at the top of the Premier League as the best, here is how a combined XI of Manchester City and Liverpool would look like.

Last season Manchester City secured a famous title victory becoming Centurions and amassing record goals, wins and points, setting the football world alight with their fantastic style of play which was unrivalled in the English leagues. Liverpool limped into a European Champions League Qualification spot finishing some 25 points behind the leaders.

Since then of course Just an Klopp has sought to close the gap and Liverpool became the biggest spenders in the transfer window as they broke the transfer record for a goalkeeper and added some further players to their side.

On the eve of the clash between these 2 sides, and bearing in mind the performances of both teams in the season to date, Man City Square thought it would be useful to compare the 2 teams and to see if we were assembling a single XI which players would make the cut and who would miss out.
