Manchester City will return to Premier League football this weekend in a hope they can turn their performances around against Cardiff City.

It is likely that any frustration and disappointment from their defeat against Lyon on Wednesday will be taken out on Cardiff City goal come three o’clock.

City played Cardiff last season with the game remembered for the rough tackling on Leroy Sane and Brahim Diaz. Hopefully, we will see none of that today.

One of the biggest current challenges for any City fan is to predict Pep Guardiola’s starting eleven. Especially when coming to decide who you should pick for your Fantasy Football team.

My first pick and most consistent one goes to Sergio Aguero. The forward has returned from injury and is likely to lead the line against the Welsh side, with goals on his mind as he looks to add to his four goals.

Now fit following his injury scare, the Argentine will be looking to capitalise on a below par Cardiff City defence.

The next pick is Bernardo Silva, purely on the fact he has been the most consistent and impressive in City colours so far this season.

The man signed from Monaco was indifferent last season, but has showed a significant improvement in his form especially when used in the middle of the pitch in absence of Kevin de Bruyne.

I was going to pick Ilkay Gundogan but the fact he may not play has changed my mind for a more regular option.

The final one to pick is a tough one, do I go for a defender in hope for a clean sheet or winger in hope for some goals.

I am going to pick Kyle Walker ahead of Leroy Sane as the points of a clean sheet will hopefully boost my and your FF teams points at the end of the weekend.

The added bonus of assists from right flank has also persuaded my selection.

A well-needed three points should be coming away for the team in the light blue as they look to keep pace with Liverpool and Chelsea as they should both continue their winning streaks.

This week choices don’t reflect my current FF team.

My Team: K Schmeichel (Leicester City), V Van Dijk (Liverpool), A Robertson (Liverpool), N Ake (Bournemouth), B Silva (Manchester City), R Neves (Wolves), A Lennon (Burnley), M Kovacic (Chelsea), L Sane (Manchester City), S Aguero (Manchester City), W Zaha (Crystal Palace)
