After reviewing the potential group stages, it seems Manchester City have no complicated opponents in pots two, three and four. They will likely be able to make their way through the group stages and put themselves in a good position to have a second placed team for the knockout rounds.
Barring any fresh injuries and suspensions, the Champions League is a realistic possibility for the squad, particularly as Kevin De Bruyne should be coming back into form and refreshed when the knockout round comes into play in February.
