It seems  a combination of a new ground and few signings for Pochettino will be enough to challenge or go all the way this season.

The ability to retain key players will be paramount to ensuring any sort of success. The burden of paying the escalating and heavily leveraged costs of the new White Hart Lane may well be tested by other clubs.

Manchester United continue to look at centre back reinforcements and Toby Alderweireld seems to fit the bill for them. Christian Eriksen remains a marketable commodity and Harry Kane as a true Spurs player has done his best to diminish any interest Real Madrid may have had.

Lucas Moura will be more influential in the team providing he has had time to settle in, while additions up-front and within the central midfield positions are key for their progress.

Spurs will doubtfully add any real quality to their side other than the persistent rumours of Jack Grealish. Spurs are likely to remain Spursy and I think the combination of games against United and Liverpool, a derby game against Fulham  and a difficult looking game against a physical Cardiff will probably reinforce this stereotype as the ‘nearly men’.
