Patrick Roberts: Signed from Fulham in July 2015 for an undisclosed fee, believed to be in the region of £12 million. The winger was seen as a long-term prospect, however, he has failed to live up to his potential at the Etihad Stadium.

Made only one league appearance when he came on against Tottenham as a late substitute. Deemed surplus to requirements, the winger was sent on loan in 2016 on an 18-month deal, where he impressed with the Scottish champions as they continued to dominate the league and cup formats.

Scoring 15 goals, Roberts helped the team to an unbeaten season and impressed many people in Scotland and south of the border. The English youth star enjoyed a pre-season with the club, however, Pep Guardiola authorised a move back to Celtic.

A hamstring injury never allowed Roberts to gain momentum throughout the season and is unlikely to rejoin the Scottish champions. Likely to be involved in a swap deal with Leicester City for the Riyad Mahrez signing, he is one of the five most expected to leave the Etihad Stadium.

Most likely destination to leave for: Celtic, Fulham, AFC Bournemouth or Leicester City
