Elaiquim Mangala: He joined Manchester City in August 2014, with the club spending over £30 million on the centre back. He joined prior to former teammate Nicolas Otamendi at the club and was impressive in his first games alongside Vincent Kompany.
However, a number of mistakes forced the club to look for another defender in the market and Mangala was quickly used as a backup player once Otamendi joined the Premier League.
Pep has used the defender sparingly in the first half season and even hailed his performances, however, was allowed to join Everton on loan on January transfer deadline after the signing of Frenchman Aymeric Laporte. A serious knee injury on the first game for Everton required surgery and ended his season prematurely.
Everton reportedly had the option to sign Mangala at the end of the loan agreement, with the Toffees never taking that option.
Most likely destination to leave for: Everton or Fenerbache
