Manchester City secured the title at the weekend in two parts. The first part, on Saturday, came with a dominant display against Tottenham Hotspur. After what had been a troubled previous few days, City showed exactly what they were made of by defeating the Harry Kane team.

Manchester City fans across the globe rejoiced as the third title in six years came home. Some fans have been there since the dark days and before, some only a few seasons. All are passionate about the side and were buzzing.

Over the past few days I got feedback from the Southern Hemisphere, North America along with closer to home. After reaching out to North American and Southern Hemisphere fans to get their reactions, I moved back closer and this is what fans in Manchester told me.

As you might imagine, there were a lot of comments from some really buzzing blues.

Andy, from the 93:20 Group put that recent week or so of bad results into perspective.

"It’s been an unbelievable season and even the slight disappointment of losing to Liverpool in the CL hasn’t tainted the season. I’ve seen the best football played and the will to win from the players has been a joy to watch. It’s also looking like Pep will be extending his contract so this could be the start of something long-term."

The positivity rolled on with Elliott from Salford who said that “The football is fantastic to watch, roll on next season”. I know I am excited to see what happens in the summer, as far as transfers go for the Blues.

Meanwhile, Elaine, couldn’t quite believe what she had seen this season. And, with her supporting the blues for over four decades, who could blame her!

"I’m shocked! They were so good 😊. Never in 44 years have I known this. Proud all my life to be blue. A lot prouder today."

Maureen, also a longtime fan, called out some of the mainstream British media. Not entirely partial to Manchester City taking any limelight away from their beloved United or Liverpool, it’s been a tough season to watch punditry.

"Sky, BBC, ITV and any media want to jump on our band wagon now. They are only just realising what we Man City fans have known about this team, club for the last few years. We have always known (45yrs+) this team/club were destined for greatness. We will carry on with our motto’s “Fight to the end” & “PRIDE IN BATTLE!"

Matthew, who is also from Salford spoke of the effect Guardiola has had on Manchester City, Manchester and English football as a whole.

"Pep and the whole squad have been amazing throughout, even in defeat we were a class above everyone else. It has been a pleasure to witness the “Guardiola style of play” at Manchester City. The whole togetherness is something that is right through the club and it really is a pleasure to be a blue. Thank you Shark team and same again next season please. COME ON CITY"
