Kompany Will Lift The Trophy:

When the Captain opened the scoring, you could see the emotion on his face. After the third Manchester United goal, his face was completely different. There was seemingly an inability to pull the defenders together after either Pogba goal, which was worrying.

Last season the City defence were questioned for their inability to keep the back door shut. With Walker and Ederson added, among others improvements, this season seemed better. It could be, on the evidence of the last 180 game minutes, that’s not quite the case.

Kompany will lift the trophy, and is the most successful City captain. Focus now needs to be on keeping a good defensive base on Tuesday.
