Manchester City: Beautiful basics at the Bet365

On the face of it, the 2-0 score line doesn’t reflect the dominance, and ease, at which City dispatched Stoke City. Enjoying 77% of possession with seventeen shots, City never looked like losing it after initially going a goal up.

It was good to see Fernandinho and Raheem Sterling both back in the starting lineup after absences. Vincent Kompany is showing us exactly what we miss when he’s not in the side and David Silva was back pulling the strings in midfield.
