Two Friendlies For Vinny:

It was good to see Vincent Kompany get through the full 90 minutes in the Carabao Cup Final. To have the pre-Abu Dhabi signing get to lift another trophy for the Blues, after all his injury issues, was fantastic. To have him score was just the cherry on the sky blue cake.

My thoughts were that he could be rested for last nights game, and have him good to go for Sundays fixture. However, it seems that the Carabao Cup was not as taxing on his body as we’d thought before kick off.

That allowed him to have another run out last night, which again wasn’t really any kind of test. It was almost as if Vincent Kompany had taken part in a couple of friendly fixtures, and he looked good in both.

Will he start on Sunday? Against a wounded Chelsea side who are struggling to finish in the top four I know we certainly need him.
