Midfielders:

The question which was raised after the confetti of the Cup Final had been cleared away was, who would come in for Fernandinho. Injured during the game, and out for the next few games, it leaves quite the hole.

For me, it has to be Ilkay Gundogan. The German did a great job after being asked after Fernandinho’s withdrawal, and I think he should continue in that role. Of course Danilo, Kompany and Delph could all play in that role, but for various reasons I wouldn’t bet on it.

Yaya Toure is the player who would rotate in for Fernandinho earlier in the season. Over the course of the season though, it has become evident his legs have finally gone.

I think Kevin De Bruyne and David Silva (if available) should keep the starting spots from Sunday.
