Carabao Cup Reaction: City talking points
Old Boys Do It
Sergio Aguero was the newest of the players on Sundays score-sheet to join Manchester City. Bought in 2011 for a little under £40 million, he has since gone on to become City’s highest scorer of all time.
David Silva is the next longest-serving, and scored the third, and final goal for the blues. Joining City the year before Sergio he has also become a legend. Captain Vincent Kompany was actually at City before the takeover was made official, if only by a matter of days and is now the clubs most succesful Captain.
Two of the three were in the City side for the 2011 FA Cup victory and, with a combined 25 seasons, longevity and loyalty is not a myth in modern-day football.
