Route One Football:

For all the intricacies of playing the Pep Guardiola way, sometimes you just have to go old school. Arsenal were playing a very defensive shape, and City were having a lot of comfortable possession up to, and including, just inside the Arsenal half.

A goal kick from Bravo directly down the field saw Aguero and Mustafi come together. Mustafi was left appealing for a foul, while Aguero ran clear on goal. A neat finish from the Argentinian striker saw him lift the ball over the keeper, before it nestled in the corner of the net.

Arsene Wenger, and Mustafi, were left fuming over the build up. The build up would have been reviewed though and, for me, I think the Arsenal man was weak in the challenge, and poorly positioned.

Had that been the only goal, I think Pep would have been just as angry as Arsene. Preferring that good on the eye football, this lumping up field would have had him, initially, frustrated.
