4) Edin Dzeko – 11

Tied with David White for League Cup goals, I have put him ahead purely because he has won the trophy. Although he didn’t score in the 3-1 victory over Sunderland, I think that is a pretty good tie breaker.

Scoring three goals in the 2011/12 season his first came in a 5-2 away win against Wolves. Scoring in the 40th minute with what I consider the winning goal. And the Bosnian didn’t have to wait long to double his tally with his second coming in the second half of the same game.

The third goal should have seen City through to the Final. After losing 1-0 at home to Liverpool in the Semi Final, Edin Dzeko put City 2-1 up at Anfield. Ex City player, Craig Bellamy would break City hearts though, tieing up the game only six minutes later.

In our League Cup winning season of 2013/14 Edin scored in every round, with the exception of the Final. Getting more than half of his final tally in that one cup campaign. Finishing off at City the following season, he would score a brace in City’s 7-0 victory over Sheffield Wednesday.
