A few days ago I looked at Manchester City most succesful Captains. Looking at all competitions you had current City skipper tied with ‘Skip’, Tony Book. A win today will see the Belgian overtake Books haul of four trophies, adding his fifth as Captain.

As far as Manchester City’s top scorers go though, the field is much more sparse. With sides looking to rotate some of their bigger names for this competition, the potential for big names to get a decent tally is slim.

Stars from the 1960’s and 1970’s still remain top of the All-Time list. Certainly, Sergio Aguero for example, has a long way to go if he wants to become the top scorer in this particular competition.

In fact, with current City players only, it is Belgian Kevin De Bruyne who tops the list with seven League Cup goals. Sergio Aguero follows close behind with six while Yaya Toure sits on five, From there Leroy Sane has three, Fernandinho has a couple with Raheem Sterling and Bernardo Silva sitting on one a piece. David Silva, quite surprisingly is yet to register in the competition.

So who, all time, makes up the top five?
