Midfielders:

If City have any chance of lifting the trophy then the trio in midfield has to be Kevin De Bruyne and David Silva in front of Fernandinho.

For David, it will be a chance for his sixth major trophy while at City. He will be eager to add a third League Cup winners medal to his collection as he puts his name up there alongside some of the most successful players in City history.

Meanwhile it will only be De Bruyne’s second trophy while at the Blues, although more should follow. If these two are on fire, and Fernnadinho does his usual thankless job as the enforcer I think we could see a very good Cup Final.
