The day is here, and Manchester City will be looking to add another trophy to their cabinet. All this week I have been looking back at other successes in this competition. It was Manuel Pellegrini’s competition, winning two in three seasons. Meanwhile it was Tony Books only trophy as a Manager, after lifting the same trophy as Captain.
For Pep Guardiola, it is the first real chance of a first trophy in England. Last season was disappointing in every competition, but this season (Wigan aside) City have been sensational. A victory on Sunday would lay down that marker. So how will Pep line up?
