Next up for Manchester City will be FA Cup nemesis, Wigan Athletic. Losing out to the Lactics in the 2013 final of this very competition, it marked Roberto Mancini’s final moments as Manchester City manager.

Wigan players went up those Wembley steps to lift the trophy, and then were facing life in the Championship only days later. Relegation came, Roberto Martinez left for Everton, and Wigan began to spiral. Despite that, Wigan returned to face City in the Cup again, albeit at an earlier stage, and won.

Now, City have to go again, this time with a quadruple still available. Pep usually rotates a little for these cup games but, with City taking a good lead into the Champions League second leg, and a Carabao Cup Final next weekend, the side may not be rotated as much as we’d have imagined at the beginning of the calendar year. So how should Pep play away to Wigan Monday night?
