First Final:

It is the first final under the Pep Guardiola era, and certainly the first real chance for silverware. Winning breads winning and to get the first one down will make the others flow. Players remember the feeling of lifting that trophy in front of their fans, and its a feeling which is contagious.

Next: Player Ratings v Bristol City

Prior to Guardiola, Manuel Pellegrini’s first trophy for City was this very competition. They would then go on to win the League title only a few months later. Similar was true with Roberto Mancini. Winning the FA Cup, at a struggle, the next season we dug deep for that Aguero goal.

Certainly, Pep’s side has youth on their side, and so getting that winning habit early on could mean we’ll have to visit B&Q sooner rather than later, get that trophy cabinet enlarged.
