It’s been billed as the match of the weekend in the Premier League and, for Liverpool and the chasing pack, it probably is. It was the reverse fixture earlier on in the season when City defeated Klopps side by five goals, and began this great run we’ve been on.

People will point to the fact Sadio Mane was sent off in the first half of that game, and that’s when it changed. Yes, the going down to ten men allowed us to do essentially what we wanted, but people forget we were already a goal up. Yes Liverpool had a few chances but hadn’t done much with those opportunities

In fact, if Liverpool needed to take anything from that game it would be that their side really didn’t know how to defend. When you nullify their attack they really had nothing to fall back on. Today, at Anfield, it will be different.

Mentality, I expect a different Liverpool side to take the field. Having not suffered a loss since Spurs away in October if Guardiola came away with a draw later today it wouldn’t be the worst result in the world. But how should Pep line up for the Anfield trip?
