Sergio Aguero: Man Of The Moment.

While I am not sure anything will eclipse his last-minute ‘Agueroooooo’ moment a few seasons back, this could be a significant goal for the blues. Going to Ashton Gate needing to score, is not impossible. In fact, the attack threat of this City side would suggest it would be when and not if. But with a goal advantage, Bristol City have to score once more against us to progress.

Had it been 1-1, of course a goal-less bore draw back home would be fine for the Robins. But it is not just about the scoreline. The goal, coming when it did and giving them no time to counter, means the opposition now have two weeks to dwell on what might have been had the referee blown a minute earlier.

Why the goal is significant is because it puts one sky blue socked foot in the Final. And why that is important is because winning trophies is key to winning more trophies. In a season in which people are talking of ‘unbeatable’ and ‘quadruples’ it is important to just keep churning out results.
