Thoughts go out to David Silva who has recently revealed the reason for his absence. Certainly you have to applaud the club, Pep Guardiola and the City fans for keeping the Spaniards private life, private.

Certainly we would expect, given the situation, there would be other games David Silva will miss this season. Pep has said that he wasn’t sure when David Silva would return, and he also said he doesn’t know how many more games he might miss.

What isn’t under any question though is that the club, from top to bottom, will support David Silva and his family in every way they can going forward.

From David Silva’s own Twitter account came a statement. In that he said that his son, Mateo, was born extremely preterm and is fighting day by day with the help of medical staff. Certainly no one would question Pep’s decision to give Silva the freedom to come and go, depending on where he needs to be at any particular moment.
