A lot was made of the draw against Palace being the end of the winning streak. With that, we no longer are chasing the longest win streak in the top five European Leagues.

What has been lost in the talk of that, and the injuries, is the fact that City remain undefeated in all domestic competitions so far this season.

To add to the talk of records, Raheem Sterling also wanted in. Scoring the fastest goal in the Premier League so far this season.

It couldn’t have gone to a more deserving player. Last season the English winger had scored only 7 goals in 33 games. Currently, this season, his total stands at 14 in only 21.

That’s a strike-rate which was a little under a goal every five games, to a goal every 135 minutes. That just goes to show that Pep Guardiola is not just a cheque book manager, but he can coach too. It’s not just Raheem either. Nico Otamendi, Fabian Delph and John Stones have all shown vast improvements from last season to this.
