It was great to see Manchester City back to winning ways, and it was great to see John Stones back in the side. What was even better was the inclusion of David Silva, whose absence due to personal problems were revealed recently.

Certainly somethings are more important than football and I applaud Manchester City, Pep Guardiola and fans for giving David Silva the space and privacy he requested, and needed. I will be writing more on that particular topic later, but felt it needed a mention.

So what points do we take away from Tuesdays game at the Etihad?
